Jeffrey LaRiche, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CASTLE Worldwide, Inc.
Previously the company's vice president for investor relations, Mr. LaRiche was promoted to chairman of the board and chief executive officer In October, 2000. His more than 30 years of management experience includes various public positions in Washington, D.C., including associate director for finance and administration at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, president of the United States International Cultural and Trade Center Commission, and deputy assistant secretary for external affairs in the Smithsonian Institution office that oversaw congressional relations, development, and membership programs. Active in the arts and a past board member of several nonprofit organizations, Mr. LaRiche currently serves as a founding trustee of the Asian Heritage Foundation (New Delhi, India) and is a member of the board of directors of Counterpart International (Washington, DC) and North Carolina Arts-in-Action (Chapel Hill, NC).
Arthur Pacheco, Board Member
A Wall Street veteran, Mr. Pacheco is CEO of iNano Capital Holdings LLC, an investment advisor registered with the State of Florida in order to publish and sell nanotechnology investment research products. Prior to iNano, he was vice chair of Guzman & Co., one of the nation's leading investment banks, with headquarters in Miami, Florida and offices in New Jersey and Illinois. He is a former senior managing director at Bear Stearns in New York, New York, a former chairman of the Security Traders Association, and a past president of the Security Traders Association of New York. He was the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Strike Technologies, the fourth-largest electronic communications network/alternative trading system until its merger with an affiliate of Sunguard Data. In addition, he was head of several equity trading and institutional sales desks, including Bear Stearns and Cantor Fitzgerald.
Mr. Pacheco has served on the executive advisory committee of the Security Traders Association and the board of directors for 5th Market, Inc., a company focused on building transaction hubs in markets with complex underlying trading methodologies. He is a member of the board of directors for JAYWALK.COM, a web accessible provider of independent investment research, chairman of the One-to-One Foundation and the Wall Street Charity Fund, and is on the board of trustees of Landmark College in Putney, Vermont.
Carolyn Roberts, Board Member
Carolyn Roberts is a partner in Connors/Roberts Associates and currently serves as chair of the University of Vermont’s School of Nursing And Allied Health Sciences Advisory Board. She also serves on the board of the Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Care Systems as well as on the board of Lifeline Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:LIFE). Long active in healthcare organizations, she is the former president and chief executive officer of Copley Health Systems, Inc., a multi-corporate, community-based, rural healthcare entity in Vermont. In addition, Ms. Roberts is former chair of the American Hospital Association; a former commissioner on the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO); past chairperson of JCAHO’s Accreditation Committee and past treasurer of JCAHO’s International Board; and former advisor on healthcare policy to Senator Jeffords of Vermont.
Robert Rosenthal, Board Member
An attorney at law, Mr. Rosenthal represents a variety of corporate entities in connection with intellectual property and general corporate matters. He represents United States clients throughout Europe, South America, Australia, and the Far East, and clients from Chile, England, France, Israel, and India in the United States. Mr. Rosenthal is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association; American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association; Carolinas Patent, Trademark and Copyright Lawyers Association; and the Triangle Intellectual Property Association. He also is a real estate investor and developer and, as a collector of American art, serves on the board of directors of the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Tom Skelton, Board Member
Founder of Skelton and Associates, Mr. Skelton invests in and consults with startup high-technology organizations. As the former chief operating officer of Manugistics, he is credited with transforming the Rockville, Maryland-based company from its computer time-sharing roots to a high-performing public software company with more than $60 million in revenues. Currently, Mr. Skelton serves as a member of the boards of directors of several public and private high-technology organizations, including Manugistics. He is the chairman of the board of directors of Calian Technology, a technology services company based in Arlington, Virginia, and Eonstreams, Inc., a private video-streaming company based in Knoxville, Tennessee. He serves on the board of governors of Opportunity International, a nonprofit organization that provides micro-enterprise lending to entrepreneurs in third-world countries throughout the world. Mr. Skelton is the past chairman of the Tri-State Investment Group, an angel investing group located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
